PHILOSOPHY
I may incorporate the following techniques during your Therapeutic Massage session:
Therapeutic Swedish Massage is effective for pain reduction, stress relief, hastening recovery from injury, increased circulation and improved sense of well-being. I specialize in relaxation massage for relief from stress and tension, and pre/post-event and maintenance massage for cyclists.
Integrated Awareness is a process of self-healing through self-discovery. Working with expanded perception, I assist guests to become aware of the links between awareness, movement and choice. For additional information click on Integrated Awareness.
Craniosacral Therapy: The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the bones of the skull, face and mouth, which make up the cranium, down to the sacrum, or tailbone area. Imbalances or restrictions could potentially cause any number of sensory, motor or neurological disturbances. Craniosacral therapy gently encourages your own natural healing mechanisms to dissipate the negative effects of physical, emotional or mental stress on your central nervous system. You also benefit from better overall health and resistance to disease.
